Samba 3.2.3 Available for Download
This is a security release to address CVE-2008-3789. The original advisory is available online. Patches patch 1 for Samba 3.2.2 and patch 2 for Samba 3.2.2 are available. This security advisory is applicable to all Samba 3.2.x releases to date. Past security advisories are available on our security page.
The uncompressed tarballs and patch files have been signed using GnuPG (ID 6568B7EA). The source code can be downloaded now. See the release notes for more info.

This is the latest bug fix release for Samba 3.2 and is the version recommended for all production Samba servers running this release series. Samba 4.0.0alpha4 Available for Download
Samba 4 is the ambitious next version of the Samba suite that is being developed in parallel to the stable 3.0 series. The main emphasis in this branch is support for the Active Directory logon protocols used by Windows 2000 and above.
Samba 4 is currently not yet in a state where it is usable in production environments. Note the WARNINGS below, and the STATUS file, which aims to document what should and should not work.
Samba4 alpha4 follows on from our second alpha release (made in December), the first alpha release (made in September), and the Technology Preview series we have offered for some time now.
The uncompressed tarball and patch files have been signed using Andrew Bartlett's GnuPG key (ID 28B436BB). The source code can be downloaded now. See the release notes in the source for more information.

Samba 3.2.0 Available for Download
This is the first stable release of Samba 3.2.0.
Please be aware that Samba is now distributed under version 3 of the new GNU General Public License. You may refer to the COPYING file that accompanies the release source for further licensing details.

Samba 3.2.0rc2 Available for Download
This is the second release candidate of Samba 3.2.0. This is *not* intended for production environments and is designed for testing purposes only. Please report any defects via the Samba bug reporting system at https://bugzilla.samba.org/.
Please be aware that Samba is now distributed under version 3 of the new GNU General Public License. You may refer to the COPYING file that accompanies the release source for further licensing details.

This is the latest bug fix release for Samba 3.0 and is the version recommended for all production Samba servers. Among other fixes and enhancements, this release address some interoperability problems with Windows Vista (including Service Pack 1 Release Candidates).

Samba 3.0.28 Available for Download
Samba 3.0.28 is a security release to address CVE-2007-6015.
The Samba 3.0.28 source code (GPG signature) can be downloaded now. If you prefer, the patch file against previous releases (GPG signature) is also available for download. Please read these instructions on how to verify the gpg signature. Precompiled packages will be made available on a volunteer basis and can be found in the Binary_Packages download area.
